げいのうじん かくづけ チェック！

 This weekend I watched げいのうじん　かくづけ　チェック (Entertainer Rating Check) on Youtube. Unfortunately, it got copyrighted so I can't post a working link.

This is a game show that airs around New Year in Japan. Japanese celebrities are paired in groups and try to identify which of the options is correct. Some examples are picking the most expensive steak, figuring out whether the music is being played by a high school orchestra or a professional orchestra, or deciding which of the dancers are professionals and which just dance for fun. 

To make their decisions, they pick option A or B and they go into the designated room. Then, the host opens the door to the correct option's door. It is a really funny show and I am looking forward to seeing it next New Year!

さいがい。。。

 

ハワイでは　あまり　さいがいは　ありませんが、秋から冬にかけて、おお雨がふったり、たいふうが　来ると　サイレンが　なることが　あります。日本で　ちいさい　じしんが　おきました。でも、私は　子供でしたから、あまり　おぼえていません。サウスベンドでは　冬に　大雪が　あって、外で歩くのは　ふべんです。サウスベンドの　春は　たつまきが　起きる　ことが　ありますから、今　たつまきが　来た時の　サイレンを　ならす　練習をしています。サイレンが　ならないことを　いのってます。

In my opinion, the singing competitions on Japanese TV are much more entertaining than the ones in the US. This video is from a singing competition for little kids. A lot of the songs are popular children's songs in Japan so it was interesting to listen to them.

ポケの 作り方

 

ハワイには　いろんな　レストランが　あります。

ハワイの料理の　ほかに、　中国料理や　日本料理が　あります。

ホノルルは　海の　近くに　あるので、たくさん　おいしい　魚の　レストランが　あります。

私の　一番　好きな　食べ物は　ポケどん(Poke bowl)です。ポケ(Poke)はハワイ語です。

ポケどんの　ざい料は、まぐろ、しょうゆ、ねぎ、ごまあぶら(sesame oil)と、にんにく(garlic)と、しょうが(ginger)

と、みそ と　おこめです。

まず、まぐろを　食べやすい　大きさに　切ります。

それから、ボールに　しょうゆ、ねぎ、ごまあぶら、にんにく、しょうがと　みそを　入れて　まぜます。

そして、切った　まぐろを　ボールに　入れて　ぜんぶ　まぜます。

それから、すいはんきで　ご飯を　たきます。さいごに、ご飯ができたら、まぜた　まぐろを　ご飯の　上に　のせます。
